Long time friends Jennifer Wallace and Amy Stecklein founded Hip on Sunset in 2008. Both women realized that there is a whole new generation of parents with small children at home who are snatching up children’s tees at rock shows, however, they never had any hip and chic pajamas to tuck their little ones in with at night!
The sleepwear is tattoo inspired by the rock culture that Jennifer and Amy have seen at the many concerts they have frequented. Each pair of pajamas is complemented with its own limerick to honor the free spirits of future designers, musicians, and artists. All of their trendsetting designs are screen printed on soft and comfy, high quality, 100% interlock cotton.
Besides being co-owner of Hip on Sunset, Jennifer Wallace has been a visual designer for fifteen years and owns her own graphic design company. She is married to “Reverend Horton Heat” bass player Jimbo Wallace, and has two boys, Austin and Hunter, that keep her on her toes when her husband is on tour.
Amy Stecklein has a background in Art History and Medieval Art. She briefly resided in Paris while trying to finish her M.A. in Medieval Studies. Amy is also married and has two children, Ella and Nate. When she isn't busy being a mom or striving to make "Hip on Sunset" the best company it can be, she keeps herself busy fundraising for various children's charities in Dallas.
